NAMI Kansas

NAMI is the foundation for hundreds of NAMI State Organizations, NAMI Affiliates and volunteer leaders who work in local communities to raise awareness and provide essential and free education, advocacy and support group programs. Our goal is to advocate at the county, state and national levels for non-discriminatory access to quality healthcare, housing , education and employment for people with mental illness by: Our people with mental illness by:

• Working to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness.
• Advocating for increased funding for research into the causes of and treatment for mental illness.
